1/25 scale’exploded’ townhouse

4-Storey, 4-Bedroom Townhouse Model – August 2020

Location – Springhead Park, Ebbsfleet. Our client required a townhouse model that demonstrated the interior layout of this house type. Modelled at 1/25 scale, the model shows the internal layout, including staircases between floors, bathrooms and kitchen in a simplfied way so that customers can understand the house interior. Each floor is elevated above the other using clear acrylic rods and a side panel.

FM Conway Site in Gravesend

Polymer Modified Bitumen process site on the River Thames – November 2019

FM Conway are a major road and infrastructure company based in the south of the UK. As part of their brand and site awareness, MC Modelmaking were commissioned to provide models of a selection of their key sites at scale and to a high-level of detail. The model illustrates the delivery, storage, processing and loading stages at the site, with scale branded tankers and vehicles. The model also displayed future expansion storage plans for the site.

Factory Number One – Bedminster, Bristol.

Factory Number One sales model in Bristol – Aug 2019

This redeveloped Victorian Imperial Tabacco factory in the Bedminster district of Bristol was at 1/150 scale, depicting the original factory frontage detailing, and the three new apartment blocks and podium at the rear of the site. The model is internally illuminated, and MC Modelmaking supplied and installed the model with a bespoke black-laminate cabinet.

Beam Park Masterplan, Rainham.

Beam Park Masterplan Model, Rainham Essex – Feb 2019

This model depicts the phased development of the 3000 property masterplan launched by Countryside Properties and L&Q in 2019. With phase 1 in detail, and another 7 phases to follow on over the coming 10 to 20 years, this illuminated model measured 5 by 1.5 metres in size. The model was constructed and installed in 3 pieces, with sturdy acrylic screens fitted around the model perimeter. Connected to an interactive flat screen TV, the model displays the houses, apartments, schools, new station and park areas, as well as the existing adjoining properties on the A1306. Modelling the site and proposed future masterplan required the MC Modelmaking team to work with masterplanners, architects, engineers and landscape designers to give a cohesive impression of this prestigious site.

Rochester Riverside Masterplan Sales Model

Rochester Riverside Masterplan – September 2018

The September 2018 launch of this site, phase 1 to 3, saw Countryside Properties install a bespoke marketing suite and carry out a South of England promotional campaign. MC Modelmaking supplied a sales model illustrating these first phases, with a further 4 phases to come over the next 12 years. The model showed detailed and illuminated houses and apartments, with key points on the local area modelled to illustrate main facilities and the site’s setting.

Lydd Camp Site Training Model

Lydd Camp, Romney Marsh – training model – June 2018

The MOD training camp at Lydd, on the Romney Marshes, was established early in the 20th century, prior to WW1. The modern day camp is used for various military and police urban training, and with a recent reorganisation a site model was required to enable advance training and planning for a range of operations. The brief for the model required a detailed and robust model that depicted the current layout as well as key assembly and geographical points within the camp. In order to be flexible in the protection and viewing of the model, a combination of sturdy acrylic side screens and removable top were included.

Six Storey Building Sectional Model

Office Building Section Model – June 2018

To assist in the planning process for a new office building in Oxford, our client ADP architects commissioned a sectional model in full colour and detail. The model is to be used to illustrate the relationship of proposed materials and detailing, the upper floors set-back, and the recessed stone window surrounds. At 1-50 scale we were able to engrave brick coursing patterns and shadow gap details. Model produced in laser-cut acrylic and polystyrene.

New Phase of Housing in Bursledon – May 2018

Latitude East Development in Hampshire for National Housebuilder.

We were commissioned to provide a further sales model for the next phase of this large development near to the village of Bursledon. Complementing the original phase one model also on site, the model shared the same 1/300 scale and level of detail, and is proving to be a popular and fast selling  location only 20 minutes commuting to Southampton.

Waterside, Ebbsfleet – Jan 2018

Sales model at Castle Hill – Waterside, Ebbsfleet

The residential developments at Ebbsfleet continue to grow, and MC Modelmaking were fortunate to be involved with the Waterside development for Taylor Wimpey. This large site required a sales model and bespoke display unit, located on the mezzanine level of the marketing suite, overlooking the developing site. The site covered 117 new plots, with two apartment blocks, and captured the waterside and sloped site in high detail.

New Interactive model at Audley Stanbridge Earls, Romsey.

Sales model at Stanbridge Earls. November 2017.

The recent launch of a new Audley Retirement Village in Romsey brought together MC Modelmaking and Quintessence Ltd to supply an interactive sales model to assist in the sales and marketing of this 32 acre site. Consisting of 155 cottages and apartments, the LED-illuminated sales model depicted every aspect of the site, from the Grade II listed Tudor Manor to the restored greenhouses. The interactive presentation combines a Surface Pro 4 tablet computer with a mirrored flat screen to introduce and guide the customer through the village. Site is planned to open in 2019.
