Lydd Camp, Romney Marsh – training model – June 2018
The MOD training camp at Lydd, on the Romney Marshes, was established early in the 20th century, prior to WW1. The modern day camp is used for various military and police urban training, and with a recent reorganisation a site model was required to enable advance training and planning for a range of operations. The brief for the model required a detailed and robust model that depicted the current layout as well as key assembly and geographical points within the camp. In order to be flexible in the protection and viewing of the model, a combination of sturdy acrylic side screens and removable top were included.
